LA-Tech Emerging Talent Academy
AI curriculum approved by the U.S. Department of Labor. Designed and facilitated for young people who don’t usually get a seat at the table.

THE BRIEF
LA-Tech connects underrepresented youth in Los Angeles with careers in tech: first-gen students, foster youth, and young people from communities that don’t have a direct line to these industries.
I designed the AI Prompt Engineering Pre-Apprenticeship curriculum, integrated into the LA Tech Rising Internship and approved by the U.S. Department of Labor. Participants earn 20 hours of credit toward a federally recognized credential.
I also design and facilitate the Emerging Talent Academy, bringing 25 scholars from Compton and Antelope Valley to site visits at LACI, BMW Designworks, and TikTok, in partnership with LA County DEO and DCFS.
RESULTS
- Youth trained on AI literacy, interview prep, and professional readiness.
- 20 hours of federally recognized credential credit through the AI Prompt Engineering curriculum.
